Apakah Anda semua tahu? Bahasa Jawa sebenarnya memiliki keunikan dan ciri khas tersendiri. Selain memiliki beberapa tingkatan yang digunakan dalam situasi dan kondisi berbeda, bahasa Jawa ternyata juga terdapat kata-kata atau istilah yang joss pokoknya. Sampai-sampai untuk menafsirkannya dalam Bahasa Inggris butuh penjelasan yang agak panjang. Nah, bukankah ini bukti Bahasa Jawa lebih simpel namun juga fleksibel? Hihihihi...

Berikut ini beberapa kata-kata yang bikin ngakak habis kalo diubah dalam bahasa Inggris :

Neko-neko ==> do diverse things unnecessarily.
Nempil ==> buy something from a place of business that does not normally sell that item.
Neng-nong ==> sound of metallic ringing.
Nerimo ==> acquiescent to order's fate.
Ngaco ==> talk without knowing what is talking about.
Ngadat ==> not run properly.
Ngakak ==> boisterous laughter.
Ngamen ==>  beg while singing playing musical instruments or reciting prayers.
Ngawur ==> do something haphazardly or without basis.
Ngeden ==> strain during bowel movement.
Ngelayat ==> make a visit of condolence.
Ngelesot ==> sit on the ground or floor.
Ngelindur ==> talk when sleep.
Ngeluyur ==> hang around without purpose.
Ngenes ==> deeply saddened.
Ngeres ==> unpleasant or irritating sensation due to sand or dust.
Ngetem ==> wait for sufficient numbers of passengers.
Ngompol ==> wet the bed or pants when sleep.
Ngibrit ==> run out of a place.
Nimbrung ==>join on in conversation where object is not wanted.
Longak-longok ==>  look around unsure of what to do.
Lotek ==> raw vegetable salad served with spicy sause.
Lontong ==> food consisting of rice steamed in a banana leaf.
Kulak ==> buy goods for resale.
Kulino ==>be good at doing something.
Keminter ==> think himself is smart altough he is not.
Nongkrong ==> sit around doing nothing.
Nyambi ==> do more than one job at the same time.
Keblinger ==> come to thing the wrong way about something.
Gabah ==> unhulled paddy separated from the stalks.
Gedobros ==> talk nonsense.
Gono-gini ==> property acquired jointly, esp. during marriage, and which is divided equally in event of divorce.
